Senior Section ...

Who are Senior Section?

In the Senior Section, young women participate in a fun and flexible programme known as Look Wider. The programme is also linked to a variety of recognised qualifications or awards, both within and outside guiding. The opportunities and challenges which guiding offers can be followed by a group or by individual members and are designed to be particularly beneficial to girls getting ready to embark on a career.

  • A young woman may belong to the Senior Section from her 14th to her 26th birthday.
  • The Senior Section Promise is the same as the Guides Promise, with the added responsibility 'To be of service to the community'.
  • Members wear section wear appropriate to the group to which they belong, or wear clothing suitable for the activity in which they are participating.
